Dress for Success Black Hills-South Dakota
The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
In the fall of 2016 a group of Human Resource professionals identified the need, in our community, based on the talent pool they were working to employ. They wanted to provide not only interview skills training and resume review options, but also the suiting these women needed to make a change in their professional and personal lives. Dress for Success nationally was started in 1996 by then law student, Nancy Lublin. Dress for Success Black Hills-South Dakota is proud to be included with the over 130 cities across the world whose collective effort is to help women better their lives through support, dedication, and suiting.
Our affiliate goal is to empower 40 women in 2018. We will do this by working to provide interview and work place appropriate clothing. We will also help the women we serve by providing interview coaching, mentoring and eventually professional networking opportunities. We will build a bridge between the women we serve and the community leaders who have gone before them to set them up for success in their careers over time.
